WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE THROUGH THE FIELD OF MEDICINE?

Then be a part of the ABC medical mission! This is the ideal opportunity to help make a small difference in the lives of others. It is also a wonderful learning experience for those who desire to one day work in the medical field.

Trip Details: Who We Are

About The Trip

Basic Schedule

The mission trip typically occurs annually in late June and early July, and lasts one week (Saturday to Saturday) with 4 days of clinic and ending with 2 days of marine ecology mission. The makeshift clinics are located in 4 different villages, with each clinic lasting from 8 AM to 2 PM.

Living Arrangements

The majority of the group usually stays in the ABC dormitory (*also called the "B-BLUE Hub"), which consists of 2 large dorm rooms (1 male and 1 female) which can each hold 18 people. There are an additional 3 cabanas which can hold 4 people each, as well as a doubles suite. A bus will transport the entire group to and from the clinics.

(*For more information on B-BLUE, our environmental and marine ecology affiliate, please visit b-bluebelize.org)

Mission group requirements

Each mission group is limited to no more than 50 people, which brings the doctor - student ratio requirement to 12 medical professionals : 36 students. [*Additional volunteers will need to arrange for their own living accommodations].

Sign up for each trip will begin exactly 9 months prior to departure on a first come, first serve basis. The selection of individuals for the mission trip will be announced exactly 7 months prior to departure. Please see our Qualifications/Selection Process page for more details.
