Thank you for your interest in Agape Belize Cure!
ABC is a nonprofit organization formed to bring medical relief to the Central American country of Belize via medical mission trips which annually in the summer. The purpose of the school club chapters is to spread awareness of the lack of meaningful medical support in Belize, as well as to fundraise to finance various projects planned by the ABC main organization executive board (Please reference the project list).
We are hoping to start a club chapter at Hopkins this year (2021-2022), and anyone is free to join! We will be working on one to two projects from the list in the link above this year, as well as preparing any members who would like to apply for the summer medical mission trips to Belize on skills such as taking vitals, translating doctor shorthand, and giving medical education appropriate for ABC's patients in various locations in Southern Belize.

The mission trip typically occurs annually in late June and early July, and lasts one week (Saturday to Saturday) with 4 days of clinic and ending with 2 days of marine ecology mission. The makeshift clinics are located in 4 different villages, with each clinic lasting from 8 AM to 2 PM.

The majority of the group usually stays in the ABC dormitory (*also called the "B-BLUE Hub"), which consists of 2 large dorm rooms (1 male and 1 female) which can each hold 18 people. There are an additional 3 cabanas which can hold 4 people each, as well as a doubles suite. A bus will transport the entire group to and from the clinics.
